Research at BCHC

The Research and Innovation team at Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust set up studies and projects, help write protocols and evaluation frameworks, source funds for projects, provide or arrange training and do many other activities to help raise the profile of research and innovation within the Trust and the region, as well as establishing the culture of research within the organisation.

The Covid-19 pandemic meant that most of the Trust’s R&I activity had to be paused. Instead, the team worked at pace to set up urgent public health studies into Covid-19, sometimes in addition to working in redeployment roles in other areas of the Trust. We are now in the progress of resuming all the Non-Covid research studies.
