Patient Invitation to Participate in ISLA Interview Study
ISLA in Healthcare Survey flyer
Non-English-speaking participants are welcome to take part with the aid of an NHS interpreter.
We hope you are doing well. We are writing to invite you to an interview study that we (researchers from Aston University) are conducting on patients' experiences of healthcare provided by Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, when a digital tool ISLA has been used in that process. This study is a part of service evaluation of ISLA. We are planning to interview approximately 40 to 50 participants.
You have been selected to be invited to participate in this interview because you have recently received healthcare where a digital innovation tool called ISLA was used. ISLA allows for sharing clinical images/videos between patients and clinicians via a secure link. Your insights and experiences would be invaluable in helping us understand patients experiences with healthcare provision when ISLA is used. We will be asking about your experience when ISLA was used, the outcomes of that healthcare episode (for example, did your issue get better?) as well as your satisfaction with the healthcare process when ISLA was used. We will also ask about some basic demographic information.
The interview is expected to take between 30 to 60 minutes and will be conducted in a virtual format (via a link we will provide you with) unless this is not feasible (than we can arrange the interview at Aston University Campus). Your participation is entirely voluntary, and all the information you share will be anonymised (not linked to your name) and used for research reports as a part of full evaluation and scientific publications.
You will be offered £20 shopping voucher as a thank you for your participation.
If you are interested, please let us know at your earliest convenience, so we can provide you with additional information about this study and arrange a suitable time for the interview, if you are happy to do so. This can be done by:
- Emailing us at: stanulen@aston.ac.uk
- Or by completing our online Participant information sheet
If you have any questions or need further details, feel free to reach to us too.
Thank you for considering this opportunity—we truly appreciate your time and consideration.
Best regards,
On behalf of Birmingham Healthcare Community NHS Foundation Trust
