Through a year of working CC has been able to build trusted relationships with some of the community & voluntary organisations based in Birmingham. The Community Connexions team have collaborated with Refugee Alliance to deliver several listening events in grassroot communities and build trusted relationships. One of the aspect of our vision is to bring research closer to the diverse population making it more inclusive and generalisable with true representation from the public.
ELSA is the research study from the University of Birmingham, screening programme where children are tested determine their risk of developing type 1 diabetes through a simple finger stick blood test. This will be the third community clinic where the target population is Syrians.
