Last year, there were 4 ELSA focus groups that were held. These focus groups involved interacting with members of the public and trying to identify barriers to research, as well as raise awareness for the ELSA Type 1 Diabetes study. The events were organised by Community Connexions and the ELSA study team, as well as community outreach teams such as Refugee Alliance (12/11/23), OSCAR Birmingham (21/11/23), William Wilson Turner Foundation (28/11/23), New Heights (30/11/23), and Aspire and Succeed Lozells (6/12/23).
