Their Journey, Our Heritage Windrush 75 event.

OSCAR Birmingham, in partnership with Black Heritage Walks Network organised an event, at Soho House, to learn about and celebrate the impact of their Windrush75 project (Their Journey, Our Heritage), while promoting the heritage and legacy of Windrush community. Community connexions was invited to attend.

We heard from participants and project staff personal experiences, through brief presentation of their journey. There were also guest speakers including: West Midlands First African-Caribbean High Sheriff, Wade Lyn CBE and Horace Barne’s from Why Are We West Indian (WAWI) project.

Community connexions and the Research and Innovation team attended to promote their projects and the app library.
